Report: Conor McGregor concerned he’ll suffer a brain injury

UFC champion Conor McGregor is reportedly concerned he may suffer a traumatic injury due to repeated blows to the head. This is according to McGregor’s head coach John Kavanagh, who spoke to the Irish Independent regarding head injuries in mixed martial arts (MMA).

Prolonged leave of absence? :( he should spend this time getting the necessary tests to see what kind of condition his brain is in and come back when his baby is born as planned. Sooner the better

I would be a great loss if he would stop fighting at such a young age, but I could understand that. I wish him nothing but the best. He provided some great entertainment to the fans and haters.

It's one of the risk being in a combat sport. I think all fighters should undergo test to see if they are still fit to fight. If there is an inkling that a fighter is at risk, then that fighter should retire to prevent further complications.

I would feel bad if he retires. But I would totally understand since it is a very valid reason to do so. And besides he has already made a contribution in MMA history.
